Learning from others’ mistakes

Seen on a calendar:

Some of us learn by other people’s mistakes…

the rest of us have to BE the other people.

This struck a chord with me.  I truly believe that being organised is partly about learning from the past.  By studying what works well and what doesn’t, repeating what works well and trying to never repeat what doesn’t work at all, we become more organised, living a more successful life.

For most of us the reality is that sometimes we learn from others’ mistakes, sometimes we learn from our own.

What mistakes have you learned from that helped you become more organised?
