I said No to a free pen

This morning I attended a business event.  As is usual at these events, there were lots of brochures and free giveaways.  Here’s some breaking news – I didn’t take home the free pen.  I have enough pens, and ths one didn’t work too well anyway.  Mind you, I did take the free notepad, the free tomato plant seeds and the free Robert Gordon Pottery tea cup and saucer.  That last was an inspired touch from the organisers.

I’m still proud of not taking the free pen though.  As I’ve mentioned before, free stuff doesn’t come at no cost.  The first step to eliminating clutter is to not buy it, collect it, bring it home in the first place.
